Pineapples

Pineapples are loaded with a lot of nutritional benefits because they contain potassium, minerals, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, calcium, sulfur, iron, vitamins, and iodine. Pineapples are an excellent source of bromelain. Bromelain pineapple extract is really beneficial for weight loss. Bromelain is an enzyme which helps in digestion, has also been found to cure laryngitis and soothe sore throats.

Take a glass of fresh ripe pineapple juice with ice, find a quiet and comfortable corner in your house and close your eyes. You will begin to hear the ocean waves gently hitting the white sands of a tropical island. Before you open your eyes, you can see the gentle dance of palm trees moved by the warm breeze. Now add some coconut juice and you will become Robinson Crusoe, living a solitary life in a paradise. Pineapple is the flavor of sun-drenched tropics, especially if you find one that has been harvested ripe.

To make pineapple juice, remove the top and bottom of pineapple. If not grown organically, put it upright and take off the skin. Cut the pineapple into slices without removing the center and pass through the juice extractor. You can learn to choose a sweet pineapple but it needs some practice. When buying, remember that your pineapple should have a strong aroma. Pineapple is a sweet fruit and its leaves can be pulled out easily. The skin of pineapple is golden brown. You can keep the pineapple at room temperature if you are going to use within 2 days and beyond that, you need a refrigerator.

Oranges

I cannot think of a breakfast without a large glass of fresh orange juice. The freshly squeezed orange juice tastes like a heaven. The powerful healing effect of fresh juice is the dramatic increase in the enzymes available to the body. Orange juice, frozen or bottled, has no enzyme, but can be added to fresh juice to make deliciously mixed fruit juice. Green skin on oranges is not necessarily an indication that they are not mature. In fact, the bright orange color is a result of an artificial orange tint applied to its skin. The true color of orange is yellow orange and green. It would be much healthier if the consumer can grow accustomed to what appears to be an aesthetically unappetizing orange. Buy oranges having thin skin and abundant pulp. Store them in the refrigerator.

Pears

When pears are perfectly ripe, not too soft and not too hard, are the most delicious. Pear fruit juice is thick and sweet and can be diluted with apple juice. Pears also have lots of nutritional benefits because they are high in thiamine, niacin, riboflavin, and folic acid which helps in establishing a healthy cardiovascular system. Pears are a good source of calcium, potassium, vitamin C, phosphorus, and minerals and contain fructose which is a natural sugar tolerated by insulin dependent diabetics. Pears also have more pectin than apples. Pectin is a substance which helps lower cholesterol levels in the body.

For buying pears, look for ones that are slightly soft fleshed around the stem area. To make pear juice, its ideal to take a firm pear, so that the juicers fan does get obstructed with its hard skin. Pears that are totally ripen and hard can be left in a cupboard for a couple of days but those which are not so hard can be stored in the refrigerator.

@billyaustindillon and ineveryoneheart, thanks for the read and leaving comments. I am mad about pineapples. I like them than anything else, any other fruit. My other favorite fruits are mangoes, oranges, watermelons, pears, apples, and many more. I love eating fruits and why not. After all, they have a lot of nutritional benefits.
