Male breast enlargement or gynecomastia is really common problem than many people think, so they don’t need to be shy and the good news is that male breast reduction procedure is performed in many hospitals around the globe every day and many men undergo this procedure each year. In the recent year, there had been a lot of research and study conducted on developing less invasive methods of male breast reduction and surgeons have been successful in doing that. As you know, in medical words, abnormal enlargement of male breasts is known as gynecomastia and you may be surprised to note that in cases of male breast abnormalities, gynecomastia represents in 60% of cases. Gynecomastia is a condition where a male develops an excessive amount of adipose tissue in his breast that is medically known as pseudogynecomastia.
Also, it has been found by doctors that gynecomastia may be a temporary condition for some males because some male newborns absorb a large amount of placenta or maternal estrogen and there breasts which become enlarged at the time of birth decrease on their own when they become an adolescent male. Some teenage males also experience gynecomastia at their age because of sudden and frequent hormonal imbalances, but for some cases of chronic gyencomastia, their problem starts from the beginning and remains with them for their lifetime if not treated at the right time, so whatever is the cause of gynecomastia, this disease of abnormal breast enlargement causes these men to feel shy and most men who suffer from gynecomastia opt for cosmetic surgery or other medically necessary treatment to correct their problem.
Male breast enlargement or gynecomastia not only causes embarrassment and shame and a type of personality trait but some chronic conditions also cause discomfort and pain and due to tenderness of the breasts.
But the good news for all the men suffering from male breast enlargement is that there are many treatment and surgical options available with doctors and surgeons who have good knowledge and wisdom and are trained professionals of this condition. As problem of breast enlargement and its subsequent reduction cannot be discussed in such short time and space, I promise to post new information each and every day on this condition to update you about this condition and the treatment and surgical options available to you for treating abnormal enlargement of male breasts or gynecomastia.
How to get rid of man boobs?
Thanks a lot sarovai for your comment.
Will be a really helpful Hub
Being a female myself, sometimes I don't think about the physical problems men may face. I think as a society, we tend to feel that women suffer through more physical or cosmetic problems then men, since more women are shown or recorded to have corrective/medically neccessary surgeries of one nature or the other. This hub helps me to appreciate that men go through some of the same things we women go through. I think most men are just a little more silent about it. Hopefully, this hub will help those who suffer in silence to get the help they need. Great information soni.
Thank you so much Ethel and Veronica for your beautiful comments.
Doing medical transcription, I hear about this quite frequently but know it can be very embarrassing sometimes for men or boys to 'fess up. It is a medical condition and just the 'luck' of the draw. Very useful info and great pics.
Thanks a lot akirchner for your review of this hub.
great hub, It is becoming more prevalent possibly due to hormones in foods and too much weight lifting form body buidlers, as they get older gravity comes and it is just excess fat. it's a difficult solution until now.
Thank you so much ocbill for your expert comment. You know it well.

Tanks a lot Destiny1991.
Great information, there are so many guys out there with this problem and this is definitely a great source to learn more about their options and about male cosmetic surgery.
Thanks a lot for your visit and comment vanicama23.
I too have male breasts but mine were desired and caused. I have been working to grow breasts for 3 months and i can tell you that not only is it possible but it def works. i started off for 6 weeks taking fenugreek, fennel, red clover and saw palmetto - double the dose listed on label. I then added Pueraria Mirifica which kicked my growth into high gear. I finally started stimulating my nipples which has caused me to begin lactation - not a lot (not nearly enough to feed a baby) but enough to cause more growth. i am now a full B cup after 3+ months. I am living proof that it works and i really enjoy it.
Now Jim what you will do with your B cup breasts? I mean what is your purpose of growing them. I think that could be detrimental for your health. Nature has made women to have breasts and not men. Anything out of nature faces consequences.
I feel kind of disturbed from Jim Mack's comments. This is a great hub and an increasingly common procedure to remove man breasts. Men should no longer feel like they can't do anything about their man boobs.
You think Jim wish to be a female? He may have personal reasons why his growing them. But just in case he changes his mind, he can always visit clinics that offer Male breast Reduction. I wrote about it at http://articles.xyzaspeaks.com/gynecomastia-do-you
