Best Shopping Mall in Delhi - Ansal Plaza South Delhi

Up until 10 years ago, there were only local shops in the best shopping markets of Delhi like big retail brands at Karol Bagh, Sarojini Nagar, Rajouri Garden, Khan Market, Paschim Vihar, etc. and wholesale shops at Chandni Chowk and Sadar Bazar and there was a time when people were totally dependent on these markets for all types of shopping as there were no signs of a shopping mall.

If there was a wedding and you wanted to buy jewelry, Karol Bagh with hundreds of jewelry shops near Gurudwara Road was the best option in West-Central Delhi.

If you wanted to buy a good pair of shoes, again Karol bash was the best.

If you wanted to purchase good quality clothing at affordable prices, Sorojini Nagar Market was the best option.

If you wanted to shop for sarees and salwar suits as wedding gifts, Chandni Chowk was the best option but now the time has changed and everything you were buying from different places in the past can be bought in a single mall complex of Delhi.

Yes, the way we do shopping has changed with the recent addition of top shopping malls in Delhi which sell almost all types of items of best brands at affordable and discounted prices. From 2000 to 2010, everything has changed in terms of shopping in Delhi but still there is a need to find the best shopping mall in Delhi because out of many only a few of them are good and out of those good only one is the best which I have reviewed below:

Ansal Plaza Delhi, India

Ansal Plaza is the first shopping mall of Delhi located in Andrews Ganj in South Delhi right near post South Extension II Ring Road area. It is a shopping mall hosting all top brands like Adidas, Nike, Puma, Tommy Hilfiger, Levis, Marks and Spencer, etc. It also hosts famous fast-food chains like McDonalds, Subway, Pizza Hut, Barista, etc. For those who cannot do without booze (your patiala peg comes right into play here), as you have the best options available like Geoffry’s Restaurant and Bar and its timings are no constraints. You can be there till 12 a.m. and even beyond sometimes to have fun. This mall also has a big amphitheatre right inside it.

Driving directions to reach Ansal Plaza: when you are coming from AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) towards South Extension, there is a flyover right inside South Extension so take a right turn from the red light under the flyover and Ansal Plaza is 0.5 km from the turn.

There are many other shopping malls in Delhi that are good like City Square Mall in Rajouri Garden, DLF City Centre near Shalimar Bagh, West Gate Mall and TDI Mall in Raja Garden, Mamram Magic Mall in Rohini, North Square Mall in Pitampura, and Metro Walk Mall with famous amusement park, Adventure Island, in Rohini but still Ansal Plaza has remained the best shopping mall in Delhi, so if you are either a delhite or a traveler to Delhi, my advice is to visit this mall at least one time on your visit to Delhi.
