Which Motor Bike Is Best - Honda CBR250R Vs Ninja 250R
72Honda launched a new sports motorbike in March 2011 in India. It is a fantastic motor bike by the name of Honda CBR250R at a price tag of 1.43 lakhs INR for base model without anti-lock braking system and 1.63 lakhs for top model with anti-lock braking system. Honda CBR250R is an SOHC single cylinder unit with class leading power and torque. Considering that one has to shell out more than 1 lakhs INR for a puny 150cc R15 and close to 1 lakh INR for the not so exciting Hero Honda Karizma ZMR, and at the other end, one has to spend 3 lakhs for the Ninja 250R, Honda CBR bike from Honda has finally changed the biking scenario in India dramatically and also according to me, Honda CBR250R is the best sports motor bike in India in 1.5 lakhs price range.
- Buying Best Bike to Attract Girls in College - Ninja 250R or Honda CBR250R
This is another hub where I have answered a few questions of my college going cousin and who wants to buy a bike so that he can attract girls.
Apart from pricing, the major difference between Honda CBR250R and Kawasaki Ninja 250R is engine configuration. In principal, an equally potent product can come a little cheaper but not at half the price. Honda has taken its best single cylinder bike engine as base in CBR whereas Ninja has taken a twin-cylinder engine for its 250R bike. In theory, CBR should have less power due to being single cylinder, but in real world, the difference is not much as Ninja 250R makes 33 BHP and 22 Newton meter of torque whereas CBR250R is making 30 BHP and 18 Newton meter of torque. In fact, the difference in performance is even narrower as CBR is lighter of the two. Then Honda CBR has the edge over Ninja 250R in terms of instrumentation.
Ninja 250R has older generation analog meters whereas CBR250R has fifth generation digital instrumentation. Another important point is that the Honda CBR250R Thailand specification makes 30 BHP which is down by around 1 to 2 BHP when this bike comes to Indian market. So that is why it is better to say that if we get 4 BHP less at half the price and the brand image of owning a Honda which is second to none in the world of bikes and the reliability and best in class handling factor associated with all the Hondas, then one should definitely go for the Honda CBR250R which is the best sports motorbike in India in this price range. It is really a value for money bike.

i have p220 and i love it! :)
I wish the Cbr was half the price in America too...
The Ninja and the Cbr both cost $4000... With ABS the CBR is 4500. I think shipping costs of the CBR raise the price for America but I am not sure. Also I would like to say I enjoyed this article greatly and thank you for posting it!
I've got my CBR250R ABS here in America. Total Shipping with plates installed, inspection, and full fluids it was just under $5000. Totally worth the extra cost over the Ninja. I rode both bikes and definently like the Honda much better: smoother, more comfortable, seems very close speedwise, and much more technology. Just an all around better bike, in my opinion.
Thats surprising that the Ninja would be cost more in an area where the 250cc and below choices are far greater than a place where the Ninja has been basicaly the only choice for Americans. I think even at the same price I would still choose the CBR.
Who cares which one is better? I WANT BOTH!!
I'm sort of scared of motorcycles. Yes, I iz skeered!
I don't let fear bother me too much though, and the prices at the pump have about convinced me that I need a bike.
I'm thinking that I want a Honda Rebel, cause I'm a Rebel Without A Clue, and the little one cylinder Rebel, I'm told, is what someone who's never rode a bike before needs to start out on.
