PF withdrawal in India - Employer Refusing To Sign The PF Form
Actually, it is relevant to PF withdrawal in India and I am quite amused you been doing great job to people who are in need of proper guidance. Well, I have a short query. I left my last job without proper notice. As situation was demanding, so I was not able to finish my notice period (which was 30 days). I worked there for almost 2.5 years, and had quite good amount of PF. I know we can apply for withdrawal of PF amount after 60 days, so accordingly waited.
Its almost 7 months, I have decided to send application to last employer, as expected they refused. Although my leaves were sufficient to settle my account (we have earned leaves in our account). I got in touch with HR people to help me to withdraw my amount, I learned that I can withdraw my amount by getting it signed and stamped by any gazetted officer and submit to PF office (but I have learned from others, I can get this form signed only in case that my company is closed and there is no existence of authorized signatory of that organization. And other worst situation I came across was that PF office people dispatch such applications back to your last employer (if employer is existing) and have get it signed by other authority). Please guide path forward for it. My previous employer is refusing to sign the PF form.

Sheela
Thanks for your email Sheela. I think you have got wrong information about PF officers sending your PF application with Gazetted officers signs to your employer. Also, I have never heard about the thing that you can get it attested outside only if your organization that you have worked in has been closed or the employer is not existing. This is not the case because according to my knowledge PF applications submitted without sign of employer himself and sign of bank officers, gazetted officers, or other officers as mentioned in my article is totally acceptable.
The procedure started just because of cases of conflicts between employers and employees with the employer refusing to sign the PF form. You just need to submit your application with the PF department after getting it signed from outside authorities and wait at least 30 to 45 days for the money to come in your account. Yes, PF people will contact your employer but not for signatures or stamps but for filling up of the PF statement which is lying with them.
Go ahead and submit the form. Best of luck
