Mastopexy - Cosmetic Surgery for Sagging Breasts and Male Breasts

Surgery for breast lift in English or mastopexy in medical words is just what its name implies: a surgical procedure to lift or raise sagging female breasts.

The breasts tend to yield to gravity as evidenced by its weight due to pregnancy, lactation, large variations in weight and other physical changes. The falling and sagging breasts are almost inevitable and in some people are more pronounced than in others. Plastic surgery can improve the appearance of the breasts in these cases. Something that every good surgeon will tell their patients is that the results of this plastic surgery is not for life, over the years the raised breasts can sag again.

If it is an accumulation of fat - for obesity - the treatment most commonly used is liposuction, which is done through small incisions that go completely unnoticed later and do not leave a scar.

When gynecomastia is combined, treatment using both procedures is done. The surgeon removes the excess glandular tissue and simultaneously vacuums the fat tissue.

The postoperative course is the same in all three cases. During the first days of surgery, patients can see purple ecchymosis that gets absorbed on its own in about 15 days.

Gynecomastia is term used for abnormal male breasts. The most prominent cause is obesity, especially morbid and is some cases genetic disorders have been related with gynecomastia.
Gynecomastia can be treated with male breast reduction surgery having two options but it is best to reduce weight and opting for natural treatments before going for surgery.
