Corbett National Park located in Uttarakhand is the best adventure vacation destination in India. This national park is best for watching live wild animals in India. Founded in 1936 by Jim Corbett Tiger Hunter, it is also one of the best protected areas in the country. Within its boundaries, live many endangered and protected species of wild animals. Jim Corbett Park is famous for watching Indian tigers while sitting on a machan (a raised platform used for watching tigers) for whole night. In the daytime, you can see numerous migratory birds, deers, and even the Ganges Gharial (the Indian Gavial).
The best way to explore the park is by hiring a safari with the sunrise and sunset being the best time to watch the wildlife that moves there. Also, you can see the view from the observation towers scattered around the protected area. The best time to visit Corbett National Park is between December and March. There is lodging and mostly all amenities available inside the park. You can reach Corbett National Park by Volvo bus or your own car if you are traveling from Delhi.
