Help Me Buying Best PC Processor for Gaming and Graphics
I have decided a system configuration for my new personal computer which is as follows:
- Intel DG31 PR motherboard
- 320 GB Hard Disk
- 3 GB ddr2 800 mega hertz RAM (2gb + 1gb)
- Nvidia Geforce 9600GT 1 GB DDR3 Graphics card
- 22x Samsung DVD writer
Now, I am confused about the PC processor, as I like gaming and graphics. Please suggest me which is the best PC processor for gaming and graphics that I can buy:
- Intel CORE 2 DUO 3.0 GHZ
- Intel CORE 2 QUAD 2.33 GHZ
Both these PC processors have the same cost which is in my budget, i.e., 8500 INR for PC processor. Please help me buy any one of these or let me know about others.
First of all, I would not recommend you to buy a 3 GB RAM because, it does not support the DIMM structure and not supporting DIMM (Dual In-Line Memory Module) structure, heavily reduces the speed of your RAM. Try to take a 4 GB Ram.(2*2 GB).
Secondly, the core 2 quad is much more better for gaming than the core 2 duo. But unfortunately Crysis (2007) (not Crysis Warhead) runs better in Core 2 duo than in core 2 quad.
You have not mentioned about your total budget. If I were you, I would not have taken the 1GB DDR3 9600 GT, because it still is a 9600 GT, even if you have 1 GB of memory, there is no point wasting more money on that, it would be advisable that, you get a 500 GB HDD, rather than the 1 GB DDR3 and get the 512 MB DDR3 9600 GT and difference between 320 GB HDD and 500 GB HDD is only of 500 rupees, so you can go for 500 GB, 4 GB RAM and core 2 quad also.
As per your specifications, I am quite sure that you want to play CRYSIS or other heavily taxing games in very high graphics settings. If you had wanted so, you cannot get it through your 9600 GT and you need to buy a GTX 260 then. Regarding buying PC processor and graphics card, buy ATI 4770 is the best value for money or ATI 4850 as cost is less and not more than 7000 INR. You can also buy MSI 98gt 512DD3 best pc processor for gaming which is around 7K better than 9600GT.
Moreover, if this would have been the situation one and a half year back, then XFX Nvidea was the best deal but right now in value for money series try to go for ATIs as mentioned above instead of Nvidea, as they perform better and right now Nvidea is good in high range like GTX and all.
