Five most Common Weightlifting Facts versus Myths
68There is nothing as Spot Reduction of Body Weight
There is no ab machine available in the world which can define your abs without making you reduce your total body fat and loose total weight of your body.
For getting a Bigger Body, you just need to Lift Heavy
This is totally wrong. We all see many thin guys of small height in gym who lift way too much weight that is not according to the size of their body. The most overlooked aspects of weightlifting and fitness is diet. You need to eat enough to support weight gain or it will not happen and you will remain there with a smaller body size.
There is nothing as toning
Weightlifters say that light weights provide muscle tone and heavy weights provide muscle gain. No the reality is that light weights provide muscle gains and fat loss providing toning.
How heavy you are lifting means how big you will get
This is wrong. It depends from body to body. Some people exercise a lot, eat right, and get proper rest which are the essentials for bodybuilding and weightlifting but then also they remain obese and carry extra weight just because they are genetically obese and none can change that.
If you will do some exercises, you will see some substantial growth.
This is totally true because if a person starts a bodybuilding regimen which includes deadlifts, squats, pullups, bench press, military presses, and eat proper diet, that person will definitely put on some noticeable size.
