Great article! I think another worthwhile mention should definitely be 2010 World Cup Schedule from Mahango (http://mahango.com/worldcupapp/en_GB). The current iteration is a tad sluggish on older iPhones, but the dev has ironed out the bugs with the next update and it's easily the sleekest and most informative app I've found so far.

There's really only one World Cup app and it's the ESPN app. There's others, but nothing is worth even downloading. I'm upset with ESPN, because they are charging for the full version, which allows you to listen to the games live. They are already making hand over fist, and each listener they get, produces that much more revenue, with ads, and everything else. More FREE Apps!
